Great Job Done By All!
I was diagnosed with an AVM seven years ago after suffering a seizure during work. I have gone through 4 embolizations, one radiosurgery procedure and a gamma knife treatment. Of course, in addition to those, I have probably had about eight angiograms, six MRI's and three CT scans over that time. Was it all worth it? You bet it was. I was very rarely in pain, I was treated by some of the best doctors and specialists in Canada, and comforted by amazing nurses at Toronto Western. I feel great knowing that the once golfball sized mass in my brain is now smaller than a pea.
I want to say Thank You and God Bless to everyone who helped me through this affliction. To all the AVM patients out there - Trust in your doctors' advice and let them do their thing. You'll be fine.
